About Us

We are a Wesleyan Methodist Church which was planted approximately 22 years ago in the rapidly expanding northern fringe of Brisbane. Starting in a garage the church was soon forced to move to the Narangba Community Hall. After a further time of growth we moved to the Narangba State High School. The church got together here for some time and saw continuous growth.

In 2009 Graham and Vicki decided it was time to step down as leaders of the church and called Jake & Tilla Gerber with their children from South Africa to pastor the Church. We currently meet at the Narangba Valley State School on the corner of Young Rd and Creekside Dve, Narangba.

In the English service at 10am our church family is a group of people that includes the full age spectrum, with a solid senior’s base and a growing number of young families with many under school aged children. Our Sunday services are characterized by casual contemporary style of music with occasional use of hymns, a time of prayer, some personal sharing, preaching and great morning tea's.We have active children’s, youth and senior’s ministry, a substantial Life group ministry as well as a vibrant Community Care program. We also have an accredited Bible Training Center that assist different churches in Queensland with students doing their Cert IV in Christian Ministry and ministerial theological studies.

Whether you're looking to discover what Christianity is about, wanting to re-discover the truths of the Bible or you just want to check us out, we look forward to having you over for a visit. Narangba Valley State School Hall, Young Rd & Creekside Dr, Narangba.

Lifebuilders has now expanded, running 2 services at 2 different locations on Sunday mornings.

We have an Afrikaans service starting at 8am. This service is a place where Expats can come together within a South African Ethos hearing the message in Afrikaans and sing their old favourite songs accompanied by inspiring sound tracks. This is a place where South African families new to Australia can get some support from a caring community that have learnt the how's and what's in this wonderful new country. We have a full age spectrum that includes young families and retirees. The service is relaxed with a Sunday School for the little ones.

We Value

People to live with.

At Lifebuilders Wesleyan Church we are here to walk alongside you regardless of what your family looks like or at what stage of family life you are in. We endeavor to develop stronger, healthier relationships as we grow spiritually and embrace Gods design for our relationships, family and marriage.

"You are members of God’s very own family,…and you belong to God’s household with every other Christian.” Ephesians 2:19

Passion to live beyond.

We believe that healthy and vibrant relationships require open communication, and prayer is the language of communication with God. He invites us to speak to Him just as one would talk to a loving parent, bringing Him our joys as well as our needs.

“Proclaim with me the Lord’s greatness, let us praise His name together.”  Psalm 34:3

Profession to live out.

God did not design ministry for just a few people and therefore at Lifebuilders we believe that every member of our Church family is able to use their unique abilities to serve God.

“In the same way, since you're eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in them so that you help the church grow.” 1 Corinthians 14:12

Purpose to live for.

At Lifebuilders our belief is that we were made for a mission and God wants you and me to share His love wherever we might find ourselves.

“Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus – the work of telling others the Good news about God’s mighty kindness and Love.” Acts 20:24

Principles to live by.

Spiritual growth is not so much about, "doing" as it is about, "becoming", and becoming more like Jesus.

"Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge…Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life…” Matthew 2 8:19
